Darwin Whitman, Coming Your Way, Bringing Messages From The Tabernacle
And for those who are not familiar with the term “Sanctuary;” think of it in terms of a “Tabernacle,” and then add a Courtyard! And then to appreciate it’s significance, importance, and relevancy – listen to what Scriptures tell us concerning the “Sanctuary,” beginning with Psalm 77:13 “Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?” And it’s importance is noted in John’s writings, in the gospel named after him; John 5:46 “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 5:47 “But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?” And how did Moses write about Jesus, through the symbols and services of the Sanctuary; Hebrews 9:24 “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:” So – to understand what Christ is trying to tell us in the New Testament, we must understand what Moses told us through the Sanctuary, making its understanding very important today! And finally, its relevancy is noted by Paul, in 1 Corinthians 10:1, 11, where he refers to “our fathers,” whom, in his description, are the children of Israel; 10:1 (KJV) “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, (those of us) upon whom the ends of the world are come.” So, the events surrounding the children of Israel, happened, and were written down, for the benefit of those living at the end of the world! So it is quite significant to each one of us today!
Now just understanding the “nuts and bolts” of the Sanctuary, meaning it’s physical construction, is meaningless, unless we can benefit personally from that information. And that is the heart of our ministry – “Applying” the Symbols, Colors, Articles, and Services, and in that format, aiding the student to come away with “Information that allows for Restoration, or Reformation,” or both, in their lives! And for the past 25 years I have been crisscrossing North America, with a 4 X 10 foot model of the wilderness Sanctuary, the uniform of the High Priest, and many other visual aids, conducting sixty to ninety minute classes over a 4-6 day period, focusing exclusively on the applications for end time Christians! And at this Website, you will find multiple classes, each dealing with a specific aspect of the Sanctuary, and drawing a lesson from it. And my new years resolution, by God’s grace, is to begin adding more and more classes! This ministry began in the mid to late 1980’s, and has continuously operated since, traveling, and teaching, wherever invited, plus providing materials for individual studies, which now have literally circled the globe! And we take no praise for anything good that comes from this ministry, because without God’s leading, and blessings, there would be no ministry! Our legal name is Sanctuary Crusade, Inc., but for the sake of instant recognition of what we are about, we use the name Sanctuary Classes International, or, for brevity, SCI. And early on, we were granted tax exemption status, which we enjoy to this day. 1 Corinthians 15:46 “Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.”
1 Corinthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
6:20 “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”
God is telling us in these passages that there is a definite parallel between the “Structural Temple,” and the “Body Temple,” in both function, and purpose. And it would be of great benefit for each one of us to understand and apply, both their functions, and their purposes.
After Jesus had cleansed the Jerusalem Temple the second time, and the Jews asked Him to give them a visual demonstration of His authority for running off the money changers, the “Vendors” of religious merchandise (John 2:18), which He did, in the form of a request: “Destroy this temple (which they took to mean the Structure), and in three days I will raise it up,” verse 19, “Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? BUT HE SPAKE OF THE TEMPLE OF HIS BODY,” verses 19, 20.
The Jews missed the message because they were blinded to the connection of structure to body, and visa versa. And by missing that connection, they went on to kill their long awaited- for Messiah. And that same fate faces those who choose spiritual blindness to this very real relationship today. The words of a now popular youth song, should be in our hearts, and upon our lips; “Lord prepare ME, to be a Sanctuary, pure and holy, kind and true.”

Lesson #25 What Determines The Sinfulness Of Sin?
In this age of “compromise,” of the demand that employees, and employers, be “flexible” – it has begun to be evidenced in the spiritual realm. And man, in his quest for a God who is “compatible” with his, or hers established lifestyle, or set of beliefs, seems to have predetermined what level of “non-conformity” (which, in traditional language, is known as “sin”) God judges unacceptable. And different people use different gages to measure that. There is the “time” factor – how long has this been practiced; there is the “numbers” factor – how many are practicing; there is the “balance” factor – how much good is practiced with it; and, as with Adam and Eve, there is the “finger” factor – pointing to God as the ultimate Source of the problem. So it seems an appropriate question to delve into, if “Truth” is what we seek. And the answer to the title’s question may come as a real surprise to many – but I would challenge you to read further, to understand how the answer was arrived at. But, simply put, “What Determines The Sinfulness Of Sin” is “The Unchangeable Priesthood Of Jesus Christ.”

Hebrews 9:3-7 is Paul’s insight into the Most Holy Place of the “Earthly Sanctuary,” on the “Day of Atonement.”
9:3 “And after the second veil, the (area of the) tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
9:4 “Which had the golden censer (which was taken into the Holiest, or Most Holy Place, only on the Day of Atonement), and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
9:5 “And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
9:6 “Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.
9:7 “But into the second went the high priest alone once every year (on the Day of Atonement), not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:”
But there is another picture from the Most Holy Place that is largely ignored, and yet so important for us to understand; quite possibly what Paul referred to as being “of which we cannot now (in his day) speak particularly.” It has to do with the walls, both of the Holy, and the Most Holy Place, and its reflection of our calling, and experience, as Christians.
